Israel on Campus

Brandeis Hillel provides students with many opportunities to engage and learn about Israeli culture, history, art, and society. We empower all Jewish students to build a meaningful relationship with the state and people of Israel.

Conversations about Israel: Kol Yisrael

“The Voices of Israel”

Each semester, Brandeis Hillel offers a learning fellowship which deep dives into all things Israel. Kol Yisrael is for Jewish and non-Jewish students.

Kol Yisrael explores the historical and modern context of Israel and engages with multiple perspectives on the debates that define Zionism, Ethnic Minorities and Antisemitism. We engage with Current Events, historical texts as well as videos and Social Media. Two questions at the core of this curriculum are: What do competing visions for Zionism agree and disagree about, and why? What does it mean to believe Israel has the right to exist? How does Antisemitism affect me at Brandeis?
