โ€œBeing on the Perspectives trip was amazing, and provided me with such insight on the complexities of life in the Middle East. I had the opportunity to create relationships with other students from Brandeis, whom I loved learning from and with throughout the trip. In addition to learning more about the history and politics of the region, the biggest thing Iโ€™ve gained from this experience was the skill set required to engage in difficult, complicated and important conversations.โ€

โ€œSpending 10 weeks in Israel on Birthright and Onward was one of the best experiences of my life. Being in Israel for the first time, I had meaningful experiences visiting important sites, whether religious or historic, and had fun experiences, such as hiking, exploring Machaneh Yehuda, and traveling to Eilat. I also experienced living and working in Haifa, getting to know a wonderful city, gaining work experience and adding to my resume, and making lifelong friends. The activities and the people offered up different views on all kinds of issues and activities, giving me a well-rounded perspective on everything we did. My time in Israel strengthened my connection to the country and to Judaism and gave me friends and memories that I will never forget.โ€
