Ariel Stein
(she/her)
IACT ISRAEL ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
Ariel Stein is excited to join the team as Brandeis Hillel’s IACT Israel Engagement Coordinator! She is a recent graduate of Brown University, where she studied cognitive neuroscience and linguistics. Her research has explored topics ranging from the use of corpus and computational linguistic methods to investigate online antisemitism to the role of cooperative linguistic principles in comedy.
While at Brown Ariel founded The Brown Jewish Journal with dual goals of fostering dialogue within Brown’s Jewish community and of providing Jewish students a platform to share their perspectives and experiences. She also wrote for The Brown Noser, Brown’s satirical newspaper, and was a player on Brown’s poker and quiz bowl teams.
In her free time, Ariel likes to cook, go to pub trivia with friends, and learn about niche corners of Jewish cultural history.
